WATERBORO — During mid-November, York County Sheriff’s Office deputies were made aware that Noah Jalbert, 20, of Waterboro had stolen a wood splitter and chainsaw from his parents, said Sheriff William King. During a subsequent investigation, Jalbert was interviewed and admitted he had stolen the items and pawned them, the sheriff said in a news release issued Monday.
Deputies were able to recover the items from the pawn shop and issued a summons to Jalbert for Class C felony theft.
King said the wood splitter is valued at $2,300 and the chainsaw at $300.
Jalbert is scheduled to appear for his arraignment on Jan. 5 at York County Superior Court in Alfred.
