ALFRED — An Acton man who allegedly continued to call York County Court House in Alfred even after being charged with multiple counts of harassment by telephone last month was ordered held without bail during a court appearance on Monday.

On Nov. 28, York County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Ron Colson, 57, of Acton on a warrant charging 11 counts of violating conditions of release — by calling the courthouse.

Colson had been originally arrested on Nov. 3 and charged with six counts of harassment by telephone — after allegedly calling the courthouse “incessantly,” according to York County Sheriff William King. At that time, Colson was  released on $500 bail with the condition that he not contact the courts in a harassing manner, King said.

During November, Colson allagedly continued to contact the courts numerous times and he was subsequently charged with 11 counts of violating his conditions of release.

Colson’s motive in allegedly repeatedly calling the courts is unclear.
