
A New York City native who is currently based in Seattle, Washington, Marcus presented yearly concerts in Maine from 1999 to 2008 and said she’s excited to return. Her program will include pieces influenced by folk tunes and popular music by Mozart, Bolcom and Ginastera as well as Schubert’s Impromptus, Op. 42.
Marcus has performed throughout the United States in chamber music and solo recitals.
She is a verssatile pianist, and is at home in a wide array of repertoire and is an ardent supporter of music of our time.
The concert on Saturday, Dec. 9 will accept “free will” donations to support St. David’s Outreach Ministry. A reception will follow in the Great Hall at St. David’s.
