PARTNERS ON THE PAGE is a program that encourages conversation and connection between senior citizens and 8th graders of St. John’s Catholic School. Students are paired with one senior above the age of 65 for a total of 12 meetings and are arranged after mass on selected Fridays. The interviews are prepared ahead of time and the end result is a bound book about the senior which the student places together and gifts to his or her partnered senior. “This program connects generations,” Brunswick resident Anne Olivo said. “It’s great for them and even better for us. I’ve seen Cialy as an altar server for many years at St. Charles Church and didn’t even know her name. Now I’ve gotten to know her and it’s wonderful.”
