BIDDEFORD — Catherine M. Arsenault, 77, of Biddeford, died Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2017 at her home.
She was born Feb. 20, 1940 in Boston, a daughter of William and Katherine Farrington.
Cathy was educated in Portsmouth, New Hampshire; she graduated from Portsmouth High School, and earned a teaching degree from Keene State Teachers College. She also studied at Laval University in Quebec.
On Oct. 29, 1966 she married Rene Arsenault in Mexico, Maine.
She had taught French for a few years at Portland High School, worked in the Wilton Show Factory, and tutored for several years.
Catherine enjoyed sewing, embroidery, and making crossword puzzles. A lover of music, she played the flute, guitar and keyboard.
She is survived by Rene, her husband of 50 years; sons, William and Richard Arsenault, all of Biddeford; granddaughter Ashley Arsenault of Alfred; and a brother, John Farrington of Saranac Lake, New York.
There will be no visiting hours. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017 in St. Anne’s chapel of St. Joseph Church in Biddeford.
