STANDISH — The Bonny Eagle girls soccer team erased a 1-0 deficit to beat visiting Thornton Academy 2-1 and advance to the Class A South quarterfinals.
Mia Taranko would put TA ahead with 24 minutes remaining in the first half, but Bonny Eagle quickly responded by getting back to back goals in the next nine minutes to take the 2-1 lead.
The two clubs battled in the second half, and Bonny Eagle held off TA to secure the win.
