Bank, Minervinos donate
Norway Savings Bank, alongside Sam and Jan Minervino, co-owners of Long Beach Marina in Sebago, have pledged $1,000 to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s 6th Annual Take a Breath Social.
Held at the Ocean Gateway in Portland on Nov. 3, the Take a Breath Social supports of cystic fibrosis research and features live music, live and silent auctions, drinks and hors d’oeuvres.

Red Cross blood drives
The Red Cross will holding two blood drives in Standish in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The first is at Saint Joseph’s College from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday, Oct. 20. The second will be held at Standish Town Hall on Saturday, Oct. 21, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Spooky Reading Night
Edna Libby School is hosting a Spooky Reading Night to promote and celebrate early literacy for all pre-kindergarten, kindergarten and first grade students.
The event will be held in the school cafeteria on from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24.
Spooktacular
On Saturday, Oct. 28, from 5 to 7 p.m., the Standish Recreation Department will be hosting a “Spooktacular” Halloween event at the George E. Jack Elementary School.
