In an effort to keep York County residents warm this winter, the York County Community Action Corporation  knitting circle has been busy crafting hats, mittens and scarves for adults and children alike in preparation for the cold months ahead.

Here, Isabelle Coleman, Roberta Goldsmith, Kathryn Leveille, Evelyn Proulx and Betty Mills pose with the 600 pieces they’ve made this year.  Knitters missing from the photo are Marilyn Earle and Kay Meyerhoff.

Organizations or others  could benefit from these knit goods, or those wishing to join the  knitting group may  contact Ericka Sanborn, YCCAC Volunteer Coordinator, at 459-2938.  COURTESY PHOTO/YCCAC
