The Sagadahoc County Sheriff ’s Office reports it has solved a string of daytime burglaries that hit the Bowdoin area last week.
The burglaries encompassed several communities in two or more counties, according to Chief Deputy Brett Strout
The sheriff ’s office has recovered property, a significant amount of jewelry, and identified the people involved.
Strout couldn’t release additional information at this point in the investigation, but said charges will be forthcoming.
“This group of individuals will not be continuing their behavior,” Strout said.
The burglaries occurred between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Thursday Sept. 14. Jewelry and cash were stolen. At least five residences had been hit in Bowdoin. Other burglaries took place Litchfield and Kennebec County.
