SANFORD — Folks can have a good laugh on Saturday, Sept. 30 and benefit St. Thomas School programs at the same time.
Comedian Steve Caouette will perform at Nasson Community Center in what organizers are promising will be a funny — but wholesome— show to benefit the 45 year-old parochial school that recently expanded to include 8th grade.
Born and raised in Sanford, Caouette worked with “the Late Show with David letterman” in the 1990s, according to his biography, and now performs at colleges, clubs and casinos across the country. He has done voice-over work on commercials, appeared in The Preacher’s Wife and Boondock Saints, worked on Langoliers and Thinner, acted in four independent films and has performed aboard ship for various cruise lines.
Tickets at $20 at the door for the 7:30 p.m. performance or may be purchased in advance from St. Thomas School by calling 324-5832.
A 5K race to benefit the school takes place 8:30 a.m. Oct. 14, departing from the school on North Avenue.
