Editor,
The Saco Fire Department recognizes Poland Spring for its ongoing commitment to provide donations of drinking water to public safety organizations across the state and especially here in York County.
The generosity of Poland Spring helps to ensure the members of local response agencies, like the Saco Fire Department, are able to keep hydrated during emergency incidents and training sessions.
The donated water is greatly appreciated, is convenient and helps take a small buden off of local budgets.
The Saco Fire Department reecently received a significant donation of water and our members extend their thanks to Poland Spring. We feel fortunate to have the company partner with us in providing for the well-being of public sdafety officials.

Saco Deputy Fire Chief

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
