KENNEBUNK – The Brick Store Museum will host its “End-of-Summer Gathering” on the first day of autumn, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22.
The gathering puts together local distilling, art, and fun to celebrate local arts and humanities at the museum.
Tickets to the unique event, limited to 100 people, are now on sale for $20 per person ($15 for museum members). Half of the ticket cost is a tax-deductible donation to the museum’s Annual Fund.
Participants can expect to find a trio of events during the Gathering: a tasting tour, through the museum’s storage vaults, of a variety of spirits created by Maine Craft Distilling of Portland, including gin, whiskey, rum, and blueberry moonshine; an art sale, celebrating the end of the successful “Once Upon a Time in Maine: A Fairy Tale Art & Artifacts Show,” in which enchanting, original works by local artists are for sale and will be marked down for Friday evening only; and lastly, an auction preview of the Museum’s Fall Online Auction, which kicks off for the public on Sept. 30.
Music and hors d’oeuvres will complete the evening.
Tickets are for sale on the museum’s website, www.brickstoremuseum.org, and at the Brick Store Museum at 117 Main St. in Kennebunk.
The museum is open six days a week, and closed only Mondays. As ticketing is extremely limited, the public is encouraged to sign up fast for this festive event.
