BRUNSWICK — Cool As A Moose and the American Red Cross will hold a blood drive Friday, Sept. 15 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 128 Maine St., Brunswick.
“The Red Cross is ready when you need them – whether it’s installing smoke alarms throughout Maine, or keeping supplies of blood on hand in times of emergencies,” said Kip Stone, owner of Cool As A Moose and Artforms. “They are a safety net taken for granted by those rare individuals who have not experienced their touch. More than once they’ve shown up to shepherd our employees from fire-damaged homes to safe havens. The Red Cross is on the front line of every disaster – big and small.”
The Red Cross has an urgent need for blood donors of all blood types to give now to help save patient lives. Blood is needed for accident and burn victims, heart surgery and organ transplant patients, as well as those receiving treatment for leukemia and cancer.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
