BRUNSWICK — The Brunswick High School freshman football team started the 2017 season with a 34–14 win over Edward Little in recent play.
Fullback Cam Hathaway led the Dragons offense with 250 yards from scrimmage and five touchdowns. Wide receiver Drew Desantis made four solid blocks to spring Hathaway for large gains and sealed the game with a critical pass reception.
The defense, anchored by the stalwart play of Thomas Seitz and Cody Larson, held the EL offense to one touchdown. Connor Moody made a key interception that helped turn the tide for the Dragons.
Red Eddie Issac LeMieux led the way with a touchdown return on special teams. Tyson Green was the leading rusher for the Red Eddies.
Brunswick hosts rival Morse on Thursday at 4 p.m.
