SACO — Amtrak Downeaster passengers look out the window of the Dome Car as the train is parked in Saco to pick up riders Monday afternoon.

The vintage car was built in 1955 and features an upper level viewing deck with a glass dome top.

The dome car is available on select Downeaster runs through Sept. 24. There is no additional charge to sit in the dome car. Seats are first come, first serve, and passengers are encouraged to rotate in and out of the car to allow all passengers to enjoy the unique experience.
