Johns reps at ‘Play 60’

Angelica Johns, a Westbrook High School sophomore, represented Maine in the recent “Fuel Up to Play 60 Student Ambassador Summit” last month in Minneapolis.

The program is sponsored by the National Football League in conjunction with the National Dairy Council and the U.S. Department of Agriculture. It encourages youth to lead healthier lives.

The event kicked off at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, home of the Minnesota Vikings and where the next Super Bowl will be played.

Students and advisers from 45 states had opportunity to meet professional players.

“The 2017 summit was the highlight of my summer,” Johns said in a statement released by the Maine Dairy Promotion Board and the Maine Dairy & Nutrition Council in Augusta.
