LEBANON — A single-vehicle accident on Center Road in Lebanon on Friday night has left one person dead and another in the hospital after the occupants’ pickup truck rolled over.
Lebanon Fire and EMS responded to the crash site at 1003 Center Road at 8:28 p.m. Friday and found one person dead upon arrival; the other person was extricated by the crew and taken to Frisbee Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New Hampshire.
According to Maine State Police Public Information Officer Steve McCausland, the driver was ejected from the vehicle and pinned underneath the truck. Passersby freed the man but he died soon after at the scene. The passenger sustained non-life threatening injuries.
The name of the driver is being withheld because relatives had not been notified at press time.
Both men were from New Hampshire and had allegedly attended a marijuana festival in Lebanon prior to leaving in the pickup truck.
Lebanon Fire and EMS are unable to provide any further information about the patient’s condition at this time.
Center Road was reduced to one lane after the accident while crews and Maine State Police worked to clear then reconstruct the accident.
