KENNEBUNKPORT  — The Kennebunkport Board of Selectmen established the six-member Ad-Hoc Senior Advisory Committee in January 2017 for a one-year period.

The Committee is charged with assisting the Selectmen in the development of a vision and plan for the town’s part in meeting the needs of older adults in Kennebunkport.

Committee members hope to use the information gathered from a new questionnaire to develop a list of programs, services, and facilities that could be offered or enhanced in Kennebunkport. The Committee invites all Kennebunkport residents 65 years of age and older (about 30 percent of the  town’s population) to complete the questionnaire for the benefit of our entire community.

The questionnaires will be mailed this week to all residents with annual tax bills and can be returned either in person to the Town Office at 6 Elm St. or by mail to: Senior Advisory Committee, P.O. Box 566, Kennebunkport.

Additional questionnaires will be available at the Graves Library and the Cape Porpoise Library; there will be a downloadable version on the town website at www.kennebunkportme.gov/senior-advisory-committee.

The deadline for return of completed questionnaires is Tuesday, Sept. 26.

The Senior Advisory Committee encourages all eligible residents to take the time to participate and have their voices heard.
