SACO — Grieving is a process that takes time and isn’t neat or easy and GriefShare is now here to help in Saco.
The program is Biblically-based and non-denominational and is open to people of all faiths or no faith.
Grief Share is a 13-week program designed specifically for people who have lost a loved one through death. It consists of instructional videos, a workbook with readings and exercises, and group discussion.
It’s facilitated by people who understand because they have also grieved the death of a loved one.
The $15 workbook is the only expense for all 13 sessions.
The next 13 week series of GriefShare will begin Wednesday, Sept. 6 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at United Baptist Church, 318 Main St., Saco, Maine 04072.
Visit the GriefShare website for more information at www.griefshare.org, or contact Beverly Lowell at ubc.bev@gmail.com or 283-3411.
Comments are not available on this story. Read more about why we allow commenting on some stories and not on others.
We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
You can read more here about our commenting policy and terms of use. More information is also found on our FAQs.
