BUXTON — Police say a 28-year-old Maine man is recovering after being critically injured at a shooting in Buxton.
According to The Associated Press, Maine State Police say shooting victim Lincoln Kimball, of Hollis, was recovering as of Monday at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
Police identified the gunman as 19-year-old Brandon Lasante, of Buxton.
No arrests had been made as state police continue to investigate what led to the shooting, which happened early Sunday, the AP said.
The state attorney general’s office and the York County district’s attorney office are in close contact with investigators.
Police in Buxton and Saco responded to a call about shots fired in the vicinity of Old Orchard Road in the town about 2:35 a.m. Sunday.
Arriving at the scene, police found Kimball who had been shot.
