
According to The Associated Press, Maine State Police say shooting
victim Lincoln Kimball, of Hollis, continued to recover Monday at Maine
Medical Center in Portland.
Police identified the gunman as 19-year-old Brandon Lasante, of Buxton.
No arrests had been made as state police continue to investigate what
led to the shooting, which happened early Sunday, the AP said. The state
attorney general’s office and the York County district’s attorney
office are in close contact with investigators
BUXTON — A victim has sustained life-threatening injuries during a shooting early Sunday in Buxton.
Police in Buxton say they responded to a call about shots fired in the vicinity of Old Orchard Road in the town about 2:35 a.m. Sunday.
Arriving at the scene, police found a male victim who had been shot.
He was taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland for treatment of critical wounds.
Police have taken a male suspect into custody for questioning by Maine State Police investigators.
This was an isolated incident and no threat to public safety exists at this time, police say.
