HOLLIS — The public is invited to weigh in on a state road construction project on Route 5 at a meeting 7 p.m. Thursday at Hollis Town Hall. 

The project, proposed by Maine Department of Transportation, would reconstruct the road in two segments. The first part of the project would begin .13 mile north of the intersection of Main Street and extend north about 2.16 miles. Also beginning 0.62 north of the intersection of Osborne Road, and extending northerly 0.56 miles.

MDOT is hosting Thursday’s meeting. Accomodations will be made for those with disabilities and auxiliary aids will be provided upon advance request, according to a press release from MDOT.

The project is scheduled for the 2017-2019 work cycle, according to a work plan from MDOT. The estimated funding for the project is about $7 million.
