Many are on the streets today and they are growing in numbers, but far worse they are being labeled and judged as well (homeless). As sad as that is, they refer to us as drunks, druggies and bums, who don’t work or pay rent. However, this is not the case.

For it happened to me and it can also happen to anyone of you. We are caught up in tragic circumstances and tragic situations as well. Most are victims to alcohol and drugs such as I and with so much of it going on we were outnumbered and forced to leave our home or become one of them. For it seems to be taking over our community.

As for the community, they try so hard to keep this all hidden and spend so much money to beautify the land, only they close their eyes to the desperate who are in need of housing. It is our humane right! Yet to attract the tourists means so much more. Yet they ask what can you do for your community, the question is what can your community do for you?

Children, old people, disabled, and all else struggling, doing whatever they can to help one another. Yet as little as they have, they share and they care. Yet no one is aware of what is really going on and for that, I speak out.

For all of them in this position, there are many good and decent people turned away by the community and there is no help for people in desperate need. It is a shame to think it has come to all this. What is wrong with the system today?

To try and hide all this by pretending we don’t exist. For it is too far gone and too much damage has been done and we are many who cry out to be accepted for who we truly are. As for me, I have always lived a good life. Been married for many years, raised four children, and never got involved in drugs of any kind. Always paid my bills, never got in trouble of any kind. So, if you think this can never happen to you, think again. Good luck. God bless.

As for me, I will go on supporting the homeless and encouraging them as well — offer a ride or a helping hand, whatever I can do. For you see, they are very much a part of our community When the people with addictions have more rights than we do, then you know for sure the system is failing!

These people belong in rehab. They too are desperately in need and should get the help as well as people who are homeless. These people should not be terrorizing people’s lives and causing trouble and damage. They even O.D. to go back home and the police supports this as well! Good people are forced to leave their homes because of this and yet people with addictions are not forced to go to rehab.

What is wrong here people? My god, has the world gone mad?
