OGUNQUIT — The town of Ogunquit may have a new town manager by next week.
Interim Town Manager Don Gerrish confirmed the news on Thursday.
“The Ogunquit Select Board hopes to be able to announce the the new Town Manager next week and their starting date,” he said in an email.
The town announced two finalists in the search for a new town manager earlier this month.
In the running are Saco resident Patricia Finnigan, who is the former town manager of Camden, and Kris Tucker of Virginia Beach, Virginia, former director of economic and community development for Northhampton County, Virginia.
Residents were given the opportunity to meet and interact with Finnigan and Tucker prior to the Select Board’s meeting on Tuesday night.
The Select Board accepted the resignation of former Town Manager Tom Fortier on Feb. 7. His resignation became effective June 30.
