BIDDEFORD — Leo P. Glaude Jr., 68, of Biddeford, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at Southern Maine Healthcare in Biddeford.

He was born in Biddeford on Oct. 7, 1948, a son of Leo P. Sr. and Alma (Michaud) Glaude. He graduated from Old Orchard Beach High School.

Leo served in the United States Navy with the Seabees and spent 16 months in Vietnam during the Vietnam War.

After the service, Leo was employed by the Old Orchard Beach High School maintenance department for several years. He then went to work for Pratt & Whitney for 25 years, retiring in 2004.

His hobbies included fishing, kayaking, cycling and snowshoeing.

He was a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus, past Grand Knight and a member of the 4th degree color guard. He also was a member of the Massabesic ATV Club and the Ossipee Mountain ATV’ers.

He is survived by: his wife of 47 years, Beverly (Southwick) Glaude, of Biddeford, his son Kevin Glaude, of Saco, his daughter Kimberly Parlin and her husband Michael, of Saco and four grandchildren, Nathanial, Jenna, Caleb and McKenzie. He is also survived by two brothers, Michael Glaude and his wife Jean, of Scarborough, David Glaude and his wife Debbie, of Poland and two sisters, Cecilia Cleary and her husband John, of Kennebunk and Mary Lou Nason, of Sanford, and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 21, 2017, at Cote Funeral Home, 87 James St., Saco. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, July 24, 2017, at St. Margaret Church in Old Orchard Beach. Inurnment will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Saco.
