WATERBORO — The Maine Department of Labor has scheduled a Rapid Response session today for workers at three companies affected by a Sunday fire in Waterboro.
Workers employed by Plummer’s Ace Hardware, Family Dollar and Asian Taste at Brookfield Place plaza may be eligible to collect unemployment benefits and for other services, the labor department said.
The Rapid Response session will be held at 2 p.m. at the Waterboro Town Hall, 24 Townhouse Road, East Waterboro.
Affected workers may also contact the York County CareerCenter at 324-5460 or 1-800-343-0151. TTY users can call Maine Relay 711.
The Rapid Response session will offer information about health insurance options and re-employment assistance, in addition to answering questions about unemployment benefits.
Auxiliary aids and services are available upon request to individuals with disabilities, the labor department said.
Plummer’s Shop’n Save in a social media post on Tuesday said employees who had formerly worked at Plummer’s Ace Hardware store in Waterboro had been relocated to the company’s Buxton and Standish stores.
