
Arthur was born Jan. 11, 1931 in Richmond, Maine. the son of Maurice and Alnora Damren Cofferen, and was raised by his aunt.
Arthur was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, and he found fellowship with several churches in York County.
He is predeceased by two children, Arthur Jr, and Cynthia Baker.
Survivors include five sons, Edward Cofferen of Bow, New Hampshire, Maurice Cofferen of Sanford, Zachary Cofferen of Kennebunk, Harland Cofferen of South Berwick, and George Maxham of Farmington, Maine; four daughters Blanche Cofferen of Shapleigh, Cheryl McChesney of Wells, Claudette Mack of Sanford, and Andrea Cofferen of Rumford, a brother Ray “Sonny” Cofferen; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held 9 to 11 a.m. on Friday, July 21, 2017 at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 111 Chapel Road, Wells, with a procession to Forest Glade Cemetery, Somersworth, New Hampshire for a noon graveside service.
