This prestigious award is in recognition of outstanding contribution and dedicated service to the community, the REALTOR® Association and the real estate profession.
Barrett was nominated by members of her association and was recently recognized for her achievements at an event held at the York Harbor Inn.
“Lorilyn Barrett is well-deserving of this recognition. She has been exceptional in demonstrating dedication and commitment to our industry and the York County Council of the Maine Association of REALTORS®,” said Elias Thomas, REALTOR® and President-Elect of the Council. “She continues to strive for excellence in everything she does for our association, the public and the communities we serve.”
Barrett has been a REALTOR® and licensed broker in Maine since 2005 and is also licensed in New Hampshire. She resides with her family in York and has been part of the York community for more than 30 years while raising her five children.
She is a member of the National Association of REALTORS®, the Maine Association of REALTORS®, the New Hampshire Association of REALTORS® and the York County Council of the Maine Association of REALTORS®. She is also a Director for the Maine Association of REALTORS®, a Trustee for the York County Council of the Maine Association of REALTORS® and an active and supporting member of the Greater York Region Chamber of Commerce.
She has been the Chairperson for the York County Council’s Annual Scholarship Auction for the past four years where she recently took part in awarding more than $26,000 to 12 well-deserving high school seniors for continuing their education. She continues to be an active member in many local and civic organizations and has previously served as past President of a York Chapter of Business Network International and is a past member of Habitat for Humanity.
Barrett recently earned membership into Coldwell Banker’s® distinguished International Diamond Society and is a Top Producer ranking in the top 3% in the State of Maine for 2016. She has also been the #1 Top Producer in her office since 2007 selling more than $92 million in real estate to date.
“I am very excited and proud to be a part of the York County Council and am passionate about everything we do as an organization while promoting home ownership to those who want it, offering volunteer support to organizations who need it, and provide educational services and community outreach. The REALTOR® membership is so supportive and strong and I believe we do a great job bringing people together to make big things happen while continually improving our way of life and the communities we live in,” Barrett said. “Together, we make a real difference… and it is very rewarding.”
