Saco Police announced that beginning at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Main Street will be closed from Biddeford city line to Beach Street and Beach Street will be closed from Middle Street to Main Street. The parade is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. and will last for approximately one hour. Road closures could be in place for two hours.
The Maine Shrine Lobster Bowl Classic football game will begin at 4 p.m. Saturday at Thornton Academy, 438 Main St.
Based on these two large scale events, traffic in the city of Saco on Main Street is expected to be impacted from noon to 8 p.m.
Police warn to expect significant delays in this area of Saco during this time period.
