BRUNSWICK
Two Delaware companies purchased 407 homes and associated property on the former Brunswick Naval Air Station property in Brunswick and Topsham late last month.
Brunswick Landing Venture, LLC, and Patriot Brunswick Holdings, LLC, purchased the properties from Midcoast Affordable Housing, LLC on June 30, according to documents obtained at the Cumberland County Registry of Deeds.
The sole member of Brunswick Landing Venture is listed as Cross Moceri, a Texas-based businessman, who is the manager of Presidium Brunswick Manager, according to the shared use agreement.
Moceri began his real estate investment career by founding Centaurus Investments, LLC in 2002, the predecessor company to Presidium, according to his profile on the company’s website. His business focuses on multi-family investments in the southern United States.
Moceri is primarily responsible for capital formation, acquisitions, financial structuring and portfolio development. In 10 years, Moceri has spearheaded more than $1.2 billion of real estate investments, said his profile on the site.
The amount spent to purchase the land is unknown, but a loan in the amount of $32.9 million was recorded in the land records of Cumberland County.
According to a shared use agreement, the proposed on-site management office for the property will be located within the Brunswick Landing
Venture property at 74 Neptune Drive in Brunswick.
Efforts to obtain comment from Schott Management, the company that formerly managed the properties, were unsuccessful
In a post on Facebook on June 30, Bethany Miles Prather, the community manager of Schott, said, “as of 4:30 p.m. today, Schott Management has been sold and transferred to another company. It is with a heavy heart to inform you that for personal reasons I have decided to not stay on as community manager (as) I feel it’s time in my life to take a break and move on. I wanted to take the time and thank all of you. To my new residents, long-term residents, and even past residents, it was an honor to get know you and your families. To my military families, thank you for your sacrifice and service. The last 10 years on this property has been truly amazing. It’s a community that is hard to find anywhere in my opinion. And I am excited to see where it will go from here.”
