BRUNSWICK — The Brunswick Executive Airport will receive nearly $118,000 in federal funds for safety improvements.

The money will be used to rehabilitate the structural integrity of nearly 39,000 square yards of paved apron.

The funds are part of a $2.3 million Federal Aviation Administration grant to improve Maine’s airports. U.S. Rep. Chellie Pingree, D-Maine, announced the funding June 23.
