BRUNSWICK — The planning committee of 13th Annual Peace Fair, sponsored by Greater Brunswick Peace- Works, is looking for volunteers — specifically artists, musicians, writers, stagers and guides and more before and on the day of the fair.
The fair will be held Aug. 5 from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This year’s theme is “Peace and Justice in a World of Conflict,” the musical theme is “We Are the World.” The fair is a forum that seeks to examine and share the ways of non-violent conflict resolutions as a means to achieve peace and justice at home and abroad in a family-friendly setting on the Brunswick Mall, according to organizers. Creative arts, music and sing-alongs will round out the public program of the day.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
