Dep. Police Chief Michael Nugent said Monday police received a call around 1:36 a.m. Sunday reporting of a fight in progress in the parking lot of the popular restaurant, located at 8 Western Ave. in the Lower Village of town.
Initial investigation led to the identification of one of the involved parties, whom Nugent said was a 40-year-old white male from the area. His name was not released.
The man was taken to Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford, Nugent said, to be treated for injuries sustained in the altercation. Nugent said he does not know the extent of the man’s injuries.
It is believed that others involved in the incident, and other witnesses, left prior to police arriving on scene.
Kennebunk Police are now asking anyone who may have information regarding the incident, or who can aid in identification of the other participant, to call Det. Stephen Borst at 604-1319.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
