HARPSWELL — A series of safety seminars will be held Thursday and Friday evenings through June and July to help kayakers learn to safely navigate open ocean and what do do in an emergency. Call (207) 833-5257 or email h2o@h2outfitters.com for a schedule, for questions or to register. These workshops take place both on land and on water at Orr’s Island and are free for Harpswell residents. Non-residents will be charged a $40 fee. Kayak rental is $20 for both residents and non-residents. The seminar is being presented by H2Outfitters and Harpswell Recreation.
