BATH — Sagadahoc Preservation Inc. will present its 15th Annual House & Garden Tour Saturday. Homes will range from historic to modern and the Szanton Company will open some of their model apartments created from the old Huse Elementary School.
Several architectural styles will be represented including Federal, Greek Revival, Queen Anne and Industrial Modern. The tour will take place primarily in the North Historic District and beyond the city proper. Tour participants will need a car, but there are groups of two or three houses and gardens that can be accessed on foot. Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door the day of the tour.
The tour begins at Winter Street Center, 880 Washington St., which will serve as the central location for registration and pick-up of tickets and the tour program. Proceeds benefit the continuing restoration of Winter Street Center. For more information or to reserve tickets, call (207) 443-2174 or visit www.sagadahocpreservation.org or buy tickets at Now You’re Cooking, Ornament, and Springer’s Jeweler’s in Bath or the Gulf of Maine Bookstore in Brunswick.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
