READING, Pa. — Mike Olt smacked a line-drive homer to center in the top of the 11th inning Tuesday night to lead the Portland Sea Dogs to a 4-2 win over the Reading Fightin Phils.

Reading jumped to a quick lead with a pair of runs in the bottom of the first, opening with three straight singles to load the bases. After a strikeout, Jiandido Tromp walked to force in a run and Daniel Nava, a former Sea Dog and Red Sox, scored on a fielder’s choice.

Portland (23-23) tied the game in the top of the fifth inning with Cole Sturgeon and Jake DePew reaching on one-out singles. Both advanced on a Drew Anderson balk, Sturgeon scored on Deiner Lopez’s sacrifice fly with DePew going to third.

Danny Mars drove in DePew with a single.

Josh Smith picked up the win, going three innings of scoreless relief, allowing one hit and striking out one. Luis Ysla threw a scoreless inning for the save.

The Sea Dogs face Reading (24-23) in a doubleheader on Wednesday starting at 5:15 p.m.
