WATERBORO — At the Waterborough Historical Society’s June meeting, Alfred historian Bruce Tucker will tell the story of three Alfred boys who went west for the Gold Rush and never came back.

They were Henry Gile, Gilbert Witham and Alfred Plummer.

The program is free to the public and will be presented on Thursday, June 1, at 7 p.m. at the Grange Hall, 31 West Road, South Waterboro. Refreshments will be served.
