LEWISTON — The Bates College women’s College track and field team will be represented by a team-record six athletes competing in a total of seven events, as accepted entries to the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships were announced Saturday.
The championships will be held in Geneva, Ohio, beginning Thursday.
Senior captain Allison Hill of Brunswick will compete in the 100-meter hurdles as the second seed out of 22 athletes, based on her team-record time of 14.04 seconds run at the New England Division III Championships.
The two-time All-American is also the 21st seed in the 200-meter dash, with a team-record time of 24.76 seconds run at the New England Division III Championships.
Hill placed fifth in the 200 at the NCAA Indoor Championships in March.
Hill and Ayden Eickhoff also represent half of Bates’ 14th-seeded 4×400-meter relay team. Hill leads off the race, followed by first-year Paige Rabb, Eickhoff and senior captain Claire Markonic as the anchor leg.
