More boats were in the Androscoggin River and a plane searched from overhead, but Tuesday’s search of missing boater Stephen Wines again ended without the results searchers hoped for.
However, the search will continue
today, according to an update posted by Maine Marine Patrol on its Facebook page.
Wines, 27, of Bath was last seen in the Androscoggin River in Brunswick on Friday night after he fell from the boat he was in with his brother near Bay Bridge Landing.
Marine Patrol reports it will utilize a side scan sonar today to help search below the surface. A Maine State Police and Marine Patrol dive team will also be on stand by.
Other than a temporary suspension Sunday due to weather, the search has continued daily since Friday. The area of the search extends from Bay Bridge Landing to Merrymeeting Bay.
