FRYEBURG — Paige O’Connor hit a go-ahead two-run single in a three-run fifth inning Tuesday as Fryeburg rallied for a 4-3 softball win over Wells, which lost for the first time.

Wells (7-1) took a 2-0 lead in the first behind singles by Sam Bogue and Sara Ring.

Nicole Bennett got the win for the Raiders (6-1), allowing three earned runs on four hits with two strikeouts in seven innings. She added two hits and an RBI.

MARSHWOOD 9, BONNY EAGLE 3: The Hawks (5-3) scored six runs in the fourth inning to top the Scots (1-6) in South Berwick.

Miranda Montgomery hit a two-run single in the fourth inning for Marshwood. Erin Gray and Montgomery each had three hits to lead Marshwood.

Sarah Champagne and Morgan Drinkwater each had RBI singles for Bonny Eagle.

Kaylah Eastman (3-3) got the win, allowing seven hits and three earned runs with five strikeouts.

GORHAM 17, CHEVERUS/NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 15: The Rams (6-2) used an eight-run bottom of the second to open an 11-2 lead and held on to defeat the Stags (0-6) at Gorham.

Gorham’s second-inning rally was highlighted by a three-run double by Emma Shields and RBI singles from Grace McGouldrick and Shayla Harris.

Isabella Probert had three singles for Cheverus.

SANFORD 17, DEERING 4: Abby Blouin went 3 for 4 and drove in four runs to pace a 13-hit attack as the Spartans (1-7) rolled past the Rams (1-5) in five innings at Sanford.

Julia Allen was 2 for 2 and scored three runs for Sanford, and Grace Curley and Sara Boissonneault each added a pair of hits.

Abby Elowitch led the way for Deering, going 2 for 3 with a three-run single in the third inning.

MASSABESIC 14, WESTBROOK 2: Lacey Bean went 3 for 4 and drove in four runs to pace the offense for the Mustangs (6-1) as they surged ahead with a seven-run bottom of the second and cruised by the Blue Blazes (1-6) in six innings at Waterboro.

Westbrook took an early lead as Ally LaPierre had an RBI single in the top of the first.

Massabesic’s second inning was highlighted by a three-run single from Grace Tutt and a two-run single from Bean.

Cayleigh Morris picked up the win, going six innings allowing two runs on four hits, striking out four and walking one.

MEDOMAK VALLEY 3, LINCOLN ACADEMY 0: Gabby Depatsy had two hits to led the Panthers (6-0) over the Eagles (0-6) in Waldoboro.

Abby Nelson, Emily Wotton and Depatsy each scored for Medomak Valley. Aubrey Schaeffer got the win, allowing three hits.

Christine Hilton had two hits for Lincoln Academy.

TRAIP SWEEPS ST. DOMINIC: Reilly Eddy struck out 12 and allowed two hits as the Rangers topped the Saints 18-1 in the first game of a doubleheader in Auburn.

Eddy added five hits, two doubles. Madison Andrews, Sierra O’Brien, Kiara Perez and Cala McEllen each had three hits.

In the second game, Eddy struck out 11 and had three hits in Traip’s 9-6 win.

Sierra O’Brien added four hits for Traip (5-4). Kiara Perez and Cala McEllin each had two hits.

McKenzie Boucher, Allie Veinoite and Skye Rogers each recorded two hits for St. Dominic (0-6).

WATERVILLE 17, MOUNT VIEW 4: Freshman Madaya Kavis had four hits and drove in five runs to lead the Purple Panthers to the win in Waterville.

Shelby Place had four hits for Waterville (2-5), which scored 10 runs in the fourth inning.

McKenna Gibbs had a double as part of a two-hit day for Mount View (1-5).

WINSLOW 8, ERSKINE 3: Natalie Greene had a pair of hits and Broghan Gagnon held Erskine to just four hits as the Black Raiders won at Winslow.

Haley Ward, Sarah Guimond and Cassandra Demers collected doubles for unbeaten Winslow (6-0).

Erskine dropped to 2-4.

OXFORD HILLS 12, CONY 4: Cari Hopkins had three hits, including a double, as the Rams fell to the Vikings in South Paris.

Carly Lettre had a single and double for Cony (2-3), and Jamie Coull and Gaby McGuire each added two singles for the Rams.

Lauren Merrill had two doubles for Oxford Hills (3-3).

LACROSSE

NOBLE 15, SANFORD 13: Kerri Fleming scored five goals to lead the visiting Knights (2-3) over the Spartans (2-5).

Samantha Couture added three goals, while Summer Smith, Amy Fleming and Emily Carleton each finished with two for Noble.

Maddie Leigh had five goals, and Eva Belanger and Megan O’Connell had three apiece for Sanford.

Kelly Cremmen and Grace Jordan combined for 18 saves for Noble, while freshman Chloe Roy stopped 17 saves for the Spartans.

OCEANSIDE 11, BOOTHBAY 4: Jillian Brooks scored four goals to lead the Mariners (5-1) over the Seahawks (4-2) in Boothbay.

Kelsey Brooks added three goals for Oceanside, and Elise Laslavic had six saves.

Kate Friant led Boothbay with two goals. Page Brown stopped 12 shots.

YORK 20, SOUTH PORTLAND 5: Cassandra Reinertson had six goals and a pair of assists to lead the way for the Wildcats (5-0) as they took a 13-2 halftime lead and easily got by the Red Riots (2-5) at York.

Allie Lawlor had five goals and dished out three assists for York, Martha McCaddin had four goals and a pair of assists and Emma Ford added three goals and an assist.

Jenna Leckie had three goals to lead the way for South Portland, and Kayla Brown and Paige Fleming each added a goal.

Julianna Kiklis had four saves for the Wildcats.

GORHAM 13, SCARBOROUGH 12: Trailing 7-6 at halftime, the Rams (2-4) scored four consecutive goals to take the lead for good and held off a late charge from the Red Storm (1-4) at Gorham.

Hallie Shiers had three goals, five draw controls and four ground balls for Gorham, and Marina Pappalardo and Celie Begonia each added three goals.

Marielle Smith led Scarborough with four goals and Leah Manfra added a pair of goals.

Paige Hume stopped eight shots for the Rams, and Bethany Smel had seven saves for the Red Storm.

ST. DOMINIC 14, WELLS 6: The Saints (3-2) cruised to victory over the Warriors (2-3) in Wells

Aimely Michaud-Nolan scored three goals for Wells, and Laney O’Brien added two. Sarah Webb recorded nine saves.

MAINE GIRLS’ ACADEMY 11, WESTBROOK 5: The Lions (2-3) led 7-2 at half and defeated the Blue Blazes (0-5) in Westbrook.

Zoe Mazur led the Lions with six goals, and Catherine Reid added five. Lily LaCasse had nine saves.
