Vendors will set up in Central Park, in downtown Sanford, for the 8 a.m. opening and the market runs until noon. As well, the market will be open 3 to 6 p.m. on Wednesdays.
“We have over a dozen vendors selling seasonal farm fresh fruits and vegetables, salad mix, greens, annual and perennial plants, veggie starts, dairy, eggs, meats, goat/sheep cheeses, baked goods, jams, jellies, maple syrup, handmade crafts and so much more,” said Jack McAdam, who has managed the market for the last several years.
He encouraged folks to stop by and meet the farmers.
The market welcomes credit/debit cards, SNAP/EBT, WIC checks and cash. Shoppers using their EBT/SNAP card receive bonus Maine Harvest Bucks when they shop at the farmers’ market. Maine Harvest Bucks can be redeemed for fruits and vegetables.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
