BIDDEFORD — Roger Williams University outscored the University of New England, 10-2 in the second half to erase a four-goal halftime deficit and earn an 11-7 Commonwealth Coast Conference women’s lacrosse win Saturday afternoon on UNE’s “Senior Day” at the Big Blue Turf.
The Hawks won their sixth consecutive contest to improve to 11-3 overall and clinch second place in the conference standings with a 6-1 mark. UNE (8-7, 5-2) slipped to third in the CCC after the setback.
Former Freeport High School standout Jocelyn Davee netted a pair of goals in the UNE loss.
UNE visits Curry College on Tuesday in its regular-season finale.
