ABOUT 80 ACTIVISTS were on the Brunswick Mall on Sunday for a rally. Protesters called on Maine’s congressional delegation to halt the confirmation of Neil Gorsuch to the U.S. Supreme Court and called for an investigation into Russian interference of the 2016 election. They called for continued support of the Affordable Care Act, the environment and women’s reproductive rights. The protest was organized by Mainers for Accountable Leadership and Brunswick Area Rising. Local officials present included Brunswick School Board Chairwoman Joy Prescott and Brunswick Town Councilor Steve Walker.
