BRUNSWICK — The Bowdoin College women’s lacrosse team has entered the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association Division III poll following its season-opening victory against Amherst on Sunday.
The Polar Bears, who finished last year with a 7-8 record, captured a 7-6 overtime win over then-eighth-ranked Amherst and enter the top-20 poll at No. 16 this week.
They are one of six NESCAC squads that appear in the IWLCA top-20, the most of any conference in the nation.
Bowdoin returns to action today with a non-conference game at the University of New England at 4 p.m.

We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
