BIDDEFORD — Conrad A. Beaudoin, 92, of Biddeford, passed away early Saturday morning on Feb. 18, 2017, at St. Andre’s Healthcare in Biddeford.

He was born in Saco on Dec. 29, 1924, a son of Arthur and Victoria (Avery) Beaudoin.

Conrad was employed by Saco Lowell Shops for 15 years. He later worked 30 years at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. Conrad was a crossing guard for 26 years, he had a great love for people, especially children.

Conrad had a positive outlook on life, always doing his best and making people smile.

Some of his favorite pastimes were dancing on Saturday’s nights with his wife, Theresa, going to Old Orchard Beach, and following Notre Dame college football with his grandson, Justin.

Mr. Beaudoin was parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Church, where he volunteered as a greeter, offertory attendant and collection counter.

Family meant everything to Conrad, they were his life and he will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by: his wife of 67 years, Theresa (Pothier) Beaudoin, on March 10, 2016; his daughter, Joan Dube; and by his two brothers.

He is survived by: three children, Denise Laverriere and her husband, Randy of Saco, Roger Beaudoin and his significant other, Mary Pierskalla of Scarborough, and Paul Beaudoin and his wife, Karen of Kennebunk; his grandson Justin Laverriere; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Andre’s Healthcare Facility, 407 Pool St., Biddeford, ME, 04005 or to Compassus Hospice, 23 Spring St., Scarborough, ME, 04074.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017, at Most Holy Trinity Church in Saco. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford.
