
The Williams College women’s swimming and diving team won its fourth consecutive New England Small College Athletic Conference Championship — and 15th overall — at Greason Pool on the campus of Bowdoin College on Sunday evening.
The Ephs finished with a three-day total of 1,856 points to defeat closest competitor Amherst (1,367). Connecticut College finished third (1,268.5), Middlebury ended fourth (1,174) and Bates fifth (1,159.6).
The host Polar Bears took sixth (994.5), followed by Wesleyan (751), Tufts (700.5), Hamilton (388), Colby (284) and Trinity (281).
Williams won every event in Sunday’s final day of competition.
Records fell in three events as Olivia Jackson set a pool record in the 200-yard backstroke (1:58.44), while teammate Caroline White established a mark in winning the 200 breaststroke (2:14.53). Ari Ross completed a sweep of the diving events by winning the 3-meter final in a pool-record total of 526.30 points.
Top performances for Bowdoin were a few runner-up performances.
Marshall Lowery was second in both the 50 backstroke (26.64) and 200 back (2:02.21), while Sterling Dixon was second in the 400 IM (4:22.50) and 200 butterfly (2:03.05).
Bowdoin diver Chris Anderson claimed a pair of runner-up finishes, with 446.55 points in the 1-meter dive and 458.10 in the 3-meter.
