NORTH BERWICK —Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 1044 in cooperation with the North Berwick Food Pantry are hosting an Agent Orange lecture for veterans and their families at 1 p.m.Saturday, Feb. 11 at Hurd Academy, Route 4.
Agent Orange is a defoliant that was prayed by the U.S. Military during the Vietnam War, Korean War, around military bases in Thailand between 1968 and 1971 and at U.S. Military bases and in nearby Canada, according to the Veterans Administration.
“If you were exposed to Agent Orange, we need you to come to our meeting and learn more about how our children and grandchildren may be suffering from abnormalities that derive from our exposure, said VVA Chap. 1044 president Joe Armstrong.
The lecture will touch on benefits and other issues associated with Agent Orange.
Sanford Veterans Center and the North Berwick Food Pantry will have information available about the programs they officer.
