BRUNSWICK
Tuesday’s winter mess meant a freeze-out of area sports.
Most of the contests have been moved to today, except for the Mt. Ararat at Morse swim meet, which was postponed and will not be rescheduled.
Today’s basketball schedule is a busy one, with the Lisbon boys visiting Wiscasset and the Wiscasset girls heading to Lisbon for 7 p.m. contests. Cony and Brunswick meet at 6:30 p.m., with the boys at Brunswick and the girls at Augusta. Morse and Oceanside will do battle, with the boys at Rockland and the girls at Bath Middle School. Due to middle school contests, the varsity contests will start a bit later, possibly around 7:30 p.m. Also, the Freeport boys entertain Cape Elizabeth at 7 p.m., while the Falcons head to the Capers for a 7p.m. Western Maine Conference battle.
Also today, both the Richmond boys and girls visit North Yarmouth Academy, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
In wrestling, Mt. Ararat/Brunswick hosts Camden Hills and Oxford Hills at 6 p.m., Morse visits Lincoln Academy at 6 p.m. and Lisbon heads to Madison, also at 6 p.m.
The Mt. Ararat Nordic ski team is at the Oxford Hills Classic at 3 p.m., while Brunswick and Freeport Nordic competitors head to Libby Hill in Gray for a 3:30 p.m. race.
