The Morse High School swim team brought home a win for both the boys and girls teams Friday night at the Bath Area Family YMCA against Hyde and Maine Central Institute.

Haily Harper had an amazing meet, earning first place in both the 200-yard (2:10.98) and the 100 (58.27) individual freestyle events. And, she worked with her teammates to secure first in both the 200 freestyle and medley relays. Teammates Ella Martin, Emily Martin and Emma Warner joined Harper on that winning medley relay team, while Jac Ribota joined Harper, Emily Martin and Warner on the 200 freestyle relay.

Ella Martin also found success in the 200 IM, bringing home first with a 2:25.79. Olivia Harper and Ann Tolan each earned first-place in two events — Harper in both the 50 freestyle (25.18) and the 100 backstroke (59.05), and Tolan in the 100 butterfly (1:03.48) and 100 breaststroke (1:14.03).

Morse’s winning girls 400 freestyle relay team included Warner, Ribota, Madelyn Jones-Cressey and Tolan.

The Morse boys also had a great night in the pool. Tucker Banger, Alex Gurney, Dominic Marco and Brandon Johnson brought home the win the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:51.34. Dominic Marco also placed first in the 200 IM (2:12.50) and the 100 breaststroke (1:09.76), and was on the winning 200 freestyle relay with teammates Jordan Leuteman, Alex Gurney and Ben Willertz.

Cameron Marco earned first place in the 50 freestyle with a 25.20, while teammates Willertz brought home the first in the 200 freestyle (1:55.74) and Banger first in the 100 butterfly (57.85). In the 100 backstroke Johnson earned first with a 1:09.97.

Max Gurney earned first place in the 100 freestyle with a 51.67, and worked with teammates Jordan Leuteman, Kevin McCoy and Willertz to bring home the win in the 400 freestyle relay with a 3:48.19.

The Shipbuilders close the regular season with a big home meet on Friday against rival Brunswick. The meet begins at 7 p.m.
