FREEPORT — The Freeport High School girls jayvee basketball team withstood a Fryeburg Academy rally for a 30-29 victory on Friday.
Ten players scored for the Falcons, led by Catriona Gould’s nine points (four steals). Hannah Spaulding and Lindsay Routhier each had four points, while Annie Kelly picked up three points and four rebounds.
With the game close, Freeport’s Maggie Riendeau nailed a short jumper to give the Falcons the points to hang on.
Merys Carty scored all of her team-high seven points in the closing minutes for the Raiders.
